TGIS: Thank God It’s Sustainable
TA-DAAN and APPCYCLED open their doors December 15-20 in the Pollice Art Light Lab at Via Guido D’Arezzo 11 in Milan. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to discover exclusive products and meet designers and artisans capable of transforming fibers, yarns, and different materials into unique masterpieces made ethically and environmentally conscious. From clothing items for increasingly sophisticated and quality looks too fantastic accessories to embellish outfits;
When creativity meets sustainability, the result is guaranteed!

How Did this Collaboration Come About?
TA-DAAN and APPCYCLED are two Milan-based startups founded by young female entrepreneurs who share fundamental values present in their DNA: craftsmanship, creativity, and sustainability. Three key factors capable of revolutionizing today’s fashion and design world by promoting a more ethical and environmentally friendly approach. The selection of independent brands and designers that give uniqueness to each piece aims to counter the unsustainable trend of fast fashion, significantly impacting the planet and people. An ambitious goal in which the two startups are doing their best, bringing craftsmanship and sustainability to young people as well, through unforgettable onlife experiences!

Sustainable Show-Crafting; What Does it Mean?
From boutique to ateliers! TGIS invites us to relive these two worlds through magical experiences that will engage participants in activities and dialogues with designers and artisans. These artists will present their creations in person during moments of sharing to get to know each other while enjoying a good aperitif. You must attend show-crafting, where forgotten ceramics and textiles will come to life as accessories and garments.

Word to the Organizers
Christmas is notoriously a peak period for consumption. So never before has it become more important to buy better, choosing products that will last and support small businesses. TGIS is a natural continuation of our Christmas campaign brought out of home and on social media, “Forget the old Santa. This Christmas, forget about Santa Claus: behind your presents will be the faces and hands of real and (real) cool people!”
ROBERTA LIGOSSI
These are the words of the CEO and Co-founder of TA-DAAN, the community-based e-commerce content of contemporary crafts with which the offline world of workshops becomes accessible worldwide through digital means. Indeed, all selected products are sustainable and handmade, ethically and creatively made by artisans and designers.
“We are overjoyed to be able to open another pop-up store just before the holidays, giving everyone a chance to try on and buy upcycled garments and accessories. Temporary stores are, for us, always a wonderful time for sharing to tell stories and involving customers in the creative process. Come and say hello, and meet the designers behind your clothes.”
DILETTA POLLICE
Diletta is CEO and Co-Founder of Appcycled, an innovative startup that promotes creative recycling by supporting independent designers who re-invent garments and clothing accessories, turning fabric remnants into valuable resources. Each piece is unique through sartorial alterations, botanical dyes, embroidery, and painting.
